The Cisco 8-Port IP Telephony Gateway SPA8000-G1-RF is an 8-Port and full-featured IP Telephony Gateway that provides innovated communication services over a broadband connection to the Internet. It provides 8 RJ-11 FXS ports to connect analog telephones to IP-based data networks, single multiport RJ-21 50-pin connector, that offers an alternative option of connection when you deploy the telephony gateway in different sites. It features a single 10/100BASE-T RJ-45 Ethernet interface wherein you can connect it whether to a router or even a multilayer switch, voice traffic converted into data packets for transmission thru an IP network and uses normal standards for voice and data networking. This device is truly a reliable and cost-effective gateway as you can assure and expand your investment by means of continuing to use your existing analog telephones and teleconferencing equipment. It is very ideal and suits to use in various business and consumer voice over IP (VoIP) service offerings which includes call centers and multi-dwelling environments.
